Market update Q3 2019: Returns deflated by global factors

The strong rally in the first half of the year appears to be losing steam as economic and geo-political uncertainties across the world refuse to dissipate. Evidence of this slowdown in the third quarter of the year was provided by the FTSE All World Equity index that gained only 3.3% after recording 16% growth by the end of the second quarter.
Chris Stead, Melville Douglas’s head of International Portfolio Management, suggests in this video that increased volatility can be expected in the final quarter of the year.
