Standard Bank wins inaugural ESG Innovator award

Standard Bank Jersey has won the inaugural ESG Innovator category at the 2019 Portfolio Adviser Wealth Manager Awards.

Hosted in London in early July, the annual awards recognise excellence in wealth management by firms with more than £3bn under management.

The introduction for the first time of the ESG Innovator category recognises the rising prominence in investment management to considering environmental, social and governance factors in underlying assets.

“We are delighted to have received this accolade in recognition of our commitment to socially-responsible investment management,” Chris Stead, Head of International Portfolio Management said. 

“There can be no doubting the significance of ESG considerations for many investors. We are proud to be able to add this feather in our cap as evidence that we are able to craft strategies that adopt ESG principles while still delivering investor value.”
