Standard Bank Jersey Scoops Two Awards at Prestigious Citywealth IFC Awards
Standard Bank’s international fiduciary services team scooped a Silver Award for ‘Trust Company of the Year – Jersey’ at the 2023 Citywealth International Finance Centre (IFC) Awards, while Michael Giraud, Standard Bank Jersey’s Head of Fiduciary Services, was named ‘Trustee of the Year – Channel Islands & Isle of Man’.
Speaking on this awards Michael commented: ‘The Citywealth IFC Awards are widely recognised and respected in the industry and to receive these awards recognition in a very competitive industry, both locally in Jersey and amongst the other islands is a great honour - especially with so many high-profile and well-regarded companies operating in this space.’

Now in its twelfth year, the Citywealth IFC Awards were established to highlight the excellence of private wealth advisers and managers based in major international financial centres.
Judged by an international panel of highly respected practitioners encompassing all private wealth sectors and jurisdictions, winners were deemed to have excelled in four key areas; innovation in services; excellence in client communications; added value and service fees.
The winners were revealed at a gala event in London on 24 January 2023, with a range of professionals considered including trustees, investment managers, private bankers, lawyers, and wealth advisers.
These award wins are the most recent in a long list of accolades for Standard Bank’s trust team. Preceding successes include a double win at the WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards in 2022 and a feature in the eprivateclient Top Trust Companies 2022 Directory.
Michael, a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, leads a team of highly qualified and experienced trust professionals servicing bespoke dynastic structures with a diversified asset base. He has experience working with structures holding residential and commercial property, large complex investment portfolios, directly held private equity and family companies.
